CNY Lion Lightbox - Sun Jan 28, 10 - 12 pm

Papercraft that lights up! Come and make your very own CNY lion to bring in the year of the dragon! <br><br>This workshop is suitable for kids over 11 (unattended) and younger children accompanied by an adult. <br><br>Each student will assemble, decorate and create their own light boxes. You can finish them off with your own New Year wishes! <br>Students will use colouring pencils, pens and markers, double sided tape and glue. There may be some use of a craft knife or scissors but for younger students the instructors will assist with these. <br><br>Let the light shine into the year of the dragon! <br><br>Workshops will take place in senselessart Studio in Prince Edward. Kimono Top Sewing Workshop Sat Jan 20, 10-2 pm

Come and learn how to sew a kimono shirt - these shirts are ideal for both small and large busts and everything in between. The shirt is easy to wear and can be worn as a coverup, light jacket or overtop. Perfect for the Lunar New Year celebrations! <br><br>We will be using cotton and students will choose their own fabric beforehand from photos. Patterns of all sizes are available but I appreciate if you could give me your bust size in advance. <br><br>You DO NOT need any sewing experience to complete this top. it is suitable for absolute beginners or intermediate sewists. <br><br>Unfortunately I do not have childrens sizes at the moment so kids under 14 are probably too small for these patterns. the top is UNISEX and will fit both men and women. <br><br>All materials provided. Soy Candle Workshop Sat Jan 14, 2- 4 pm

Make a beautiful candle while recycling! <br>Bring your own glass jar, cup, teacup or mug and join Rachel Smith to make your own candle! Containers should be made of glass or ceramic and should not be more than 250 ml. <br><br>In this workshop we will be decorating the jars and learning about the process of heating and pouring soy wax. <br><br>Each person will also be invited to create an additional candle inside an egg shell. <br><br>Workshops will take place in senselessart Studio in Prince Edward. Guided Watercolour - Tues 14 Mar 10 -12 pm - Phoenix Rondel

Want to learn watercolour but not sure where to start? Or looking for guidance to improve your technique?<br>Learn all things watercolour from supplies, techniques and brush strokes. Master tricky painting techniques with pre-drawn pictures so you can concentrate on painting. <br><br>This class will be working on a Phoenix rondel from a festive embroidered robe, The original robe can be found in the Palace Museum in Hong Kong and was created during the Qing Dynasty, Yongzheng period (1723 - 1735) of cotton, satin and silk threads. This robe would have been worn by imperial concubines during important events. <br><br>No experience needed.
