Learn to sew your own shift dress from scratch. Under the guidance of artist Rachel Smith you will select, cut and sew your own simple sleeveless dress, a wardrobe staple you can wear in all of Hong Kong's seasons. No experience is necessary, all materials provided. Prepayment is required.

This dress is made from a simple pattern, and is put on by pulling over the head. We will learn to cut and sew with a basic domestic machine. You do not need to know how to use the machine to take this class. Being able to 'sew straight lines' is not important, nor is your home economic teacher's opinions of your abilities from high school. Trust me, it is easier than it looks!

This pattern includes:
bust darts
back darts
bias binding for finishing
optional pocket if time allows
hemming
Don't worry if you don't know these terms - they will be explained to you!

Children over 10 are welcome to take this workshop.
